    Those figures bucked the trend in the broader economy, which showed unemployment in the U.S. fall to 3.5%.

    This makes sense. They usually are employed in low skill wage jobs.

    They also were able to take advantage of the unemployment benefits so now that's run out. They ain't got those jobs to return to.
